Traveling Adventures of Two Millennials

There wasn’t much of a plan, except to jump in the car and drive as far north as we can along the Michigan lake shoreline. I am lucky my friends and I have the same philosophy on road trips: less planning =  more fun. Ha, ok, not always, but this time around it worked out perfectly.

In three days, we drove a thousand miles, stopped at two national parks and five Michigan cities and witnessed a range of beautiful landscapes – picturesque red barns amidst green and golden farm fields, orderly rows of orchards sprawling for miles along the road, dense pine forests that always make me wonder what wildlife hides in their shadows, crystal clear, small blue lakes framed by leaning birch trees, and, of course, the most impressive of them all – the expansive shoreline of lake Michigan, shades of bright blue on some days, steely gray and ominous on others.
